Description
Before there were elephants, an entirely different kind of beast roamed the land as the largest land mammal in history. Paraceratherium is a 15-20 ton animal as bizarre as it is enormous, with a long, giraffe-like neck, a prehensile upper lip hiding prominent incisors, and four pillar-like limbs, all adapted for browsing the very tops of trees, whether in subtropical forests or arid deserts.
